Volcanic PERIDOT / OLIVINE BOMB
Volcanic olivine bomb. What makes these specimens extremely interesting is that the interiors of lava are full of yellow-green colored crystals, a mineral called peridot or olivine from the depth of our earth, thrown out at a volcanic eruption as a volcanic or olivine bomb. This is as close as we can get to samples from the core of our Earth.
